Abstract
Abstract
Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (EIB) during the first hour after birth is a crucial step in midwifery care aimed at enhancing the health of newborns and supporting exclusive breastfeeding. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the EIB 1-hour midwifery care for newborns at UPT Puskesmas Mancak, Serang Regency. This research employs a descriptive method with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data collection includes direct observation, in-depth interviews with midwives, and analysis of documentation related to the implementation of EIB. The results are expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the success rates and challenges encountered in the EIB implementation, as well as offer recommendations for improving the quality of midwifery care at the health center. It is anticipated that the findings of this study will serve as a reference for enhancing maternal and child health services in Serang Regency.
